Jewish food and culture have always been central to Blake’s life and identity because, well, he’s Jewish. His childhood memories of eating fresh bagels that his dad brought home every Sunday morning and watching the bakers at St. Viateur on family trips to Montreal inspired him to create Beauty's Bagel Shop, which he owned and operated for eight years. Prior to that, Blake spent time cooking at amazing restaurants in Spain, Philadelphia and San Francisco where he learned about technique and flavor profiles. As the Culinary Director of Wise Sons, Blake is happy to help create those fresh bagels that another kid will eat on Sunday mornings and the chopped liver that even grandpa will admit is tasty. Besides cooking, he likes long walks on the beach and playing the fiddle on rooftops.
